FIFA21: These are the first players

What if … ? – That’s what everything in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team (FUT) is about at the moment. On Friday, EA Sports introduced the new promo What If and revealed the first 13 new cards of the players. The best overall rating of the first team features N’Golo Kanté of Chelsea FC, whose card is rated with 91, three points better than the best version available so far. From the Bundesliga, Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund (90), Luka Jović of Eintracht Frankfurt (87) and Kevin Mbabu of VfL Wolfsburg (85) are in the first team.

What’s special about What If is that the cards are dynamic items whose values can change. Specifically, it’s a one-time improvement of the base item by two points in the overall rating if certain criteria are met. Strikers and midfielders, for example, are upgraded if their club scores a total of six or more goals in the next five league games. Defenders and goalkeepers, on the other hand, will receive the upgrade if their team goes without conceding a goal at least once in the next five league games. Games are counted from the time the item was first released in FUT.

Raphinha available via SBC

Completing the first line-up of What If are Christian Gómez of Atletico Madrid (90), Marcelo of Olympique Lyon (88), Chris Smalling of AS Roma (88), Martin Ødegaard of Arsenal FC (88), Yuri Berchiche of Athletic Bilbao (87), Roberto Pereyra of Udinese Calcio (87) and Pierre Lees-Melou of OGC Nice (86). Via SBC, Raphinha of Leeds United (87) is also available, while Francesco Caputo of Sassuolo Calcio (87) is Objectives Player. The previous promo, Headliners, had already been dynamic cards whose rating adjusted with corresponding successes. ‘What If’ is already the fourth big promo in FUT in 2021 after Headliners, Team of the Year and Future Stars.

FIFA 21: The RTTF upgrades of the knockout round in UCL & UEL

FIFA 21: The RTTF upgrades of the knockout round in UCL & UEL

The first round of RTTF upgrades is through. (Source: EA Sports)
The knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League are in full swing. For FIFA 21 players, this means that there are more upgrades in store for the dynamic RTTF cards. We’ll tell you which cards are going up in rating.

FUT 21 RTTF: What is it?

The RTTF (Road to the Final) cards are dynamic special objects whose values increase when the respective player’s team makes it to the next round of the Champions or Europa League. The Champions League is currently in its eighth-final stage: Here, an upgrade beckons if the team wins the first leg and another if it advances to the quarterfinals. The Europa League is different, however, because the intermediate round was played this week – so we are one round further away from the final. Here, the only upgrade that beckons is if the team advances to the round of 16.

Whether the respective player is used in the games is unimportant for the upgrades. Only the team’s results count here.

Champions League Round of 16: The RTTF upgrades

In the round of 16 of the Champions League many dynamic RTTF maps are in use. Meanwhile the first legs have been played and the first RTTF upgrades have found their way into FIFA 21. Some of the values will be adjusted on February 26 at 19:00, coinciding with the new What If event. The return matches will take place from 09.03. – 10.03. and 16.03. – 17.03. respectively, then the chance for another upgrade beckons.
UCL RTTF upgrades after the first legs:
  • RF: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool FC) – 92 OVR -> 93 OVR
  • ZM: Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool FC) – 87 OVR -> 88 OVR
  • ST: Mauro Icardi (PSG) – 87 OVR -> 88 OVR
  • ZOM: Julian Draxler (PSG) – 85 OVR -> 86 OVR
  • ZOM: Julian Brandt (Borussia Dortmund) – 87 OVR -> 88 OVR
  • IV: Manuel Akanji (Borussia Dortmund) – 84 OVR -> 86 OVR
  • LM: Felipe Anderson (FC Porto) – 86 OVR -> 87 OVR
  • IV: David Alaba (Bayern Munich) – 87 OVR -> 88 OVR
  • LV: Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich) – 86 OVR -> 87 OVR
  • ZOM: Mason Mount (Chelsea FC) – 85 OVR -> 86 OVR
  • LF: Eden Hazard (Real Madrid) – 90 OVR -> 91 OVR
  • IV: Raphaël Varane (Real Madrid) – 88 OVR -> 89 OVR
  • ZOM: Isco (Real Madrid) – 87 OVR -> 88 OVR
  • ST: Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City) – 85 OVR -> 86 OVR
  • RV: João Cancelo (Manchester City) – 86 OVR -> 87 OVR

Europa League Intermediate Round RTTF Upgrades

In contrast to the Champions League, the intermediate round in the Europa League is already finished. On February 25, the UEL RTTF cards secured their upgrades, which will also find their way into FIFA 21 Ultimate Team on February 26.

Here, the next knockout round, the round of 16, begins on March 11. Then another upgrade beckons if the team makes it to the round of 16.

  UCL-RTTF upgrades of the intermediate round:
  • ZM: Moussa Sissoko (Tottenham Hotspur) – 84 OVR -> 86 OVR
  • ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal London) – 89 OVR -> 90 OVR
  • ZM: Paul Pogba (Manchester United) – 87 OVR -> 88 OVR
  • LM: Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) – 86 OVR -> 87 OVR
  • MS: Dušan Tadic (Ajax Amsterdam) – 85 OVR -> 86 OVR
  • LM: Taison (Shakhtar Donzek) – 84 OVR -> 86 OVR
  • RV: Bruno Peres (Roma FC) – 84 OVR -> 85 OVR
  • ZM: Franck Yannick Kessié (AC Milan) – 84 OVR -> 86 OVR
  • ST: Ante Rebic (AC Milan) – 84 OVR -> 86 OVR
There are still some upgrades to come in the Europa League. (Source: EA Sports)
It is currently unclear whether Quincy Promes (Ajax Amsterdam) will receive an upgrade. On February 24, the Dutchman announced his move to Spartak Moscow, which means he will no longer be competing for a team that plays in the Europa League. According to EA Sports, this means that no further upgrades are possible.

FIFA 21 FUT What If-Event: Release, Players & Info

FIFA 21 FUT What If event starts: What can we expect?

A brand-new event, “What If,” launches Feb. 26 (Source: EA Sports).
Actually, the entire FIFA community would have expected the start of the FUT Winter Refresh at the weekend, but it comes – once again – differently. In the loading screen of the FIFA 21 Ultimate Team mode EA Sports has now announced a brand new FUT event called “What If”. What is behind it?

FUT 21 What If: When does the event start?

As can be seen from the new loading screen for FIFA 21’s FUT mode, the brand new What If event will start on February 26, 2021 at 19:00 German time. Presumably the new promo will extend over a period of two weeks again, but a duration of only one week would also be conceivable.

What If promo event: card design and hints

In the second loading screen, the brand new FUT 21 What If card design was revealed, which was previously leaked on the Xbox Store. Interesting fact: The What If cards feature two arrows at the top, which could indicate that the new items are live cards similar to Headliners or Road to the Final players.

The arrows on the What If cards indicate dynamic special cards. (Source: EA Sports)

FUT What If event: What can you expect?

The What If event is a brand new promo that has never been seen before in the FIFA series. However, the concept behind it is still unclear at the moment.

At first, the community assumed that we might expect players with a position change – similar to the FUT Shapeshifters in FIFA 20, but that was already the case with the FUT Freeze event and is therefore rather unlikely.

Meanwhile, another leak from a reliable source is making the rounds: As Jack Lang reveals via Twitter, you can expect dynamic live cards in FUT 21 What If, which are supposed to work similarly to the Headliners.

However, potential updates are not linked to won matches or inform cards, but to certain tasks of the teams: For example, when a team scores a certain number of goals or goes several games without conceding a goal.

The arrow on the What If cards is reminiscent of the popular FUT Showdown SBCs, such as the recent duel between Oleksandr Zinchenko and Patrick Herrmann. It is therefore conceivable that the new promo cards could also receive a one-off upgrade.

The design of the new What If cards is reminiscent of the FUT Showdowns. (Source: EA Sports / EarlyGame)

FUT 21 What If: Which players are included?

Which players you can expect at the new What If promo event in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team is currently still unclear. However, it can be assumed that at least one player of Borussia Dortmund will be part of it.

After all, after the derby win against Schalke 04, there is surprisingly not a single BVB professional in the current Team of the Week. Jadon Sancho is considered a hot candidate, as Erling Haaland can already show a live card.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar, who surprisingly wasn’t voted Ligue 1 Player of the Month, would also be a hot candidate. Until we know more details, however, you’ll have to wait until Friday night.

FIFA 21 FUT Flashback Toni Kroos SBC

Flashback Toni Kroos SBC Solution

Icon-level stats: Flashback Toni Kroos is not to be missed. (Source: EA Sports)
Already leaked over the weekend, now finally available. You are looking for a central midfielder with values on the level of a Prime Icon? Then you should definitely pick up the Flashback Toni Kroos SBC. We provide you with the SBC solution to the 2014 world champion.

In the recently launched Icon Swaps 2 you can secure the central midfielder Deco, among others. A German World Champion from 2014 with even stronger stats is now available as an SBC: Flashback Toni Kroos makes even some of the best Prime Icons look pretty old.

Flashback Toni Kroos is that good

The card costs around 350,000 coins and you can get it in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team until March 16. The central midfielder’s outstanding stats are 98 shooting power, 94 overview, 97 short passing, 94 ball control and 93 calmness.

With the Shadow Chemistry style, you tackle the somewhat low tempo and get a player who should easily be competitive all the way to Team of the Season. The only drawback is the 87 stamina, which causes Flashback Toni Kroos to run out of breath as a box-to-box midfielder, especially in intense games around the 80th minute. But you can get over that with stats like that.

Flashback Toni Kroos SBC solution

You have three weeks to get the special Kroos card. For this you need to trade three teams:
  • Team with a player from the Bundesliga (83 OVR, min. 1 TOTW, min. 80 chemistry).
  • Team with a player from La Liga (84 OVR, min. 1 TOTW, min. 75 chemistry)
  • Team with a TOTW player (85 OVR, min. 70 Chemie)

Team 1: Bundesliga

The first team costs about 57,000 coins. Here you combine five players each from Bundesliga and Serie A with each other. As a needed inform card you fall back on Adrien Thomasson from TOTW 21.
Robin Gosens serves as the link between Bundesliga and Serie A. (Source: FUTBIN)

Team 2: La Liga

In addition to four players from Ajax Amsterdam, the second team relies mainly on the Spanish La Liga. Alex Meret from TOTW 21 fulfills the Inform requirement, but due to the lack of chemistry you can also use any other TOTW card with a total value of 82 or more. Around 100,000 coins is what this team will cost you.
The second team costs just under 100,000 coins on the transfer market. (Source: FUTBIN)

Team 3: Top Form

Here, a whopping 186,000 coins are already due. The cheapest solution is a hybrid team from La Liga and Serie A. In midfield, the two Brazilians Arthur and Lucas Leiva form the bridge to the Chinese CSL. In addition, you use Future Stars Andriy Lunin and Roman Yaremchuk as an inform card -though you can also use another TOTW player with 84 OVR or more.
With Future Stars Lunin and TOTW Yaremchuk, you complete the third challenge. (Source: FUTBIN)

FIFA 21 André Silva Bundesliga POTM SBC

FIFA 21 André Silva Bundesliga POTM SBC Cheapest Solution

A well-deserved POTM award for Eintracht Frankfurt striker André Silva. (Source: EA Sports)
André Silva was the only logical choice for January Bundesliga POTM. The Eintracht Frankfurt striker has received a special FUT card because of it and we have the cheapest solution for the SBC.

André Silva of Eintracht Frankfurt replaces Lars Stindl as Bundesliga POTM. The Portuguese striker secured the trophy for January and can look forward to a strong FUT card at an affordable price.

The FIFA 21 André Silva Bundesliga POTM SBC Card

For 53,000 coins you can get a striker with good shooting, dribbling and physical stats. Silva also provides quality links to other Portuguese stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes. Of course, he is ideal for FUT managers that sport a Bundesliga squad.
After adding some pace, André Silva is a viable option in attack. (Source: FUTBIN)
André Silva could use some additional pace, so we’d recommend going for the Hunter chemistry style. By no means a meta player, the Bundesliga POTM for January is a bang for the buck.

The Cheapest Solution

Just one team is needed to land André Silva. It has an unusually high chemistry requirement, but we have a way of dealing with this:
  • one Bundesliga player, min. one TOTW player, min. 83 OVR, min. 80 chemistry

Team 1

Our approach is to create a few strong links to carry the chemistry. Borussia Dortmund teammates Raphaël Guerreiro and Thomas Meunier and Wolves teammates Ruben Neves and João Moutinho do a great job at that. We add Montpellier CB Hilton as an In-Form and our squad is good to go.
Three separate duos are the backbone of our André Silva POTM SBC solution. (Source: FUTBIN)

FIFA 21: Twitch Prime Packs bring free loot

Twitch Prime Packs are here. (Source: EA SPORTS)
Amazon Prime members have had the chance to secure Twitch Prime Loot for FIFA 21 Ultimate Team (FUT) through their Prime Gaming account since Monday (Feb. 23).

FIFA 21 FUT Icon Swaps 2 Rewards

FIFA 21 FUT Icon Swaps 2 Rewards

Icon Swaps are a fan favorite in FUT. (Source: EA Sports)
One of the most eagerly awaited FUT packs is here, for the second time. Icon Swaps 2 is now active. We will tell you what is it all about and which legends are currently available in FIFA 21.

Icon Swaps 2 was rumored to arrive for the past few weeks and it finally did right before the weekend. Why are fans so excited for this mini event? Simple, fantastic cards are being involved. Before we get to the content though, let’s briefly explain how Icon Swaps 2 works.

What Is Icon Swaps 2?

Throughout Icon Swap 2, you have the opportunity to unlock selected FUT Icons by completing certain tasks. Each Icon card in the Icon Swaps costs a certain number of so-called Player Tokens.
You can compare Icon Swaps 1 to the players we got in Icon Swaps 2. (Source: EA Sports)
If you complete various in-game challenges, you will be rewarded with tokens. You will need these to get the coveted FIFA 21 Icon cards. The stronger the corresponding legend, the more Player Tokens are needed.

You can complete the tasks in the Friendly Match mode and within Squad Battles. You also have the opportunity to invest tokens in card packs and secure players who are not actually part of Icon Swaps 2.

Which Icons Are Available in Icon Swaps 2?

Six legends have been included in Icon Swaps 2, three of which are in the form of Icon Moments – the highest-rated version of an Icon. These players and their respective values are:

  • Roberto Baggio (94 OVR) – 17 Tokens
  • Emilio Butragueño (87 OVR) – 15 Tokens
  • Laurant Blanc (89 OVR) – 13 Tokens
  • Marc Overmars (91 OVR) – 11 Tokens
  • Ashley Cole (89 OVR) – 9 Tokens
  • Deco (91 OVR) – 7 Tokens
You can acquire any of these FUT Icons with a bit of work. (Source: EA Sports)

Besides the Icon cards, you can also invest your tokens in card packs and, with a little (a lot) of luck, get even better players. Here’s how the pricing goes:

  • 2 tokens for the 81+ x25 pack
  • 3 tokens for the 82+ x25 pack
  • 5 tokens for the 83+ x25 pack
  • 8 tokens for the Base Icon pack
  • 9 Token for the Mid Icon pack
  • 10 tokens for the Mid or Prime Icon pack
  • 12 tokens for the Prime Icon pack
  • 14 Token for the 91+ Prime Icon Pack
  • 16 tokens for the Prime or Prime Moments Icon pack
As you can see, there are lots of great prizes for those that are willing to put in the work for those player tokens. Are you one of them?

FIFA 21 FUT Showdown-SBC: Oleksandr Zinchenko vs. Patrick Herrmann

FIFA 21 FUT Showdown-SBC: Oleksandr Zinchenko vs. Patrick Herrmann

Zinchenko against Herrmann is the name of the game on February 24 in the UCL. (Source: EA Sports)
After a long wait, the next FUT Showdown SBC is finally in the starting blocks. The fourth duel revolves around the Champions League round of 16 match between Manchester City and Borussia Mönchengladbach on February 24. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Patrick Herrmann are up for selection.

FUT Showdown: Zinchenko vs. Herrmann

The 4th FUT Showdown is all about the Champions League this time. Left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko (85 OVR) and right-winger Patrick Herrmann (86 OVR) are up for election for a short time as a Squad Building Challenge.

Depending on the result of the match, the values will increase: in case of a win, two points will be added, in case of a draw, one point will be added for both players. So, if you want, you can simply get both options.

Manchester City and Zinchenko go into the game as favorites, after all the Skyblues are rushing from one win to the next in the Premier League. Accordingly, the left-back’s SBC costs more than twice as much as Patrick Herrmann’s, at around 300,000 coins.

Even without a boost, Zinchenko already has a total value of 91 with Shadow Chemistry Style. If Manchester City wins the match, a real endgame defender beckons. You still have until February 24 to secure your tickets.

FUT Showdown Oleksandr Zinchenko SBC solution

For the FUT Showdown card of Oleksandr Zinchenko you have to trade two teams in total:
  • Team with a Manchester City player (84 OVR, min. 1 TOTW, min. 75 chemistry).
  • Team with a player from the Premier League (86 OVR, min. 70 chemistry).

Team 1: Manchester city

Here you line up four players from Ajax Amsterdam for chemistry reasons in the defense and focus mainly on Spaniards. Midfielder Rodri serves as a needed Manchester City player.
Around 100,000 coins is the cost of the first team. (Source: FUTBIN)

Team 2: Premier League

Around 230,000 coins are allotted to Team 2, which is mostly from Spain’s La Liga. Goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka fulfills the league requirement.
At around 230,000 coins, the 2nd team is truly not cheap. (Source: FUTBIN)

FUT Showdown Patrick Herrmann SBC Solution

If you rather want to bet on the underdog and play a Bundesliga team, Patrick Herrmann from the current FUT Showdown is an interesting option, which is also much cheaper than Zinchenko at around 150,000 coins:
  • Team with a player from the Bundesliga (83 OVR, min. 1 TOTW, min. 75 chemistry).
  • Team with one player from Germany (84 OVR, min. 70 chemistry)

Team 1: Bundesliga

For around 60,000 coins you’ll secure this team, which is composed of Bundesliga and Premier League. In addition, you’ll have access to Bafétimbi Gomis from the current TOTW 21.
60,000 coins are allotted to the first SBC team. (Source: FUTBIN)

Team 2: National Duty

Just under 90,000 coins currently cost the 2nd SBC team on the transfer market and, with the exception of Argentine Gonzalo Higuain, comes from the German Bundesliga.
You’ll complete Herrmann’s card with this Bundesliga team. (Source: FUTBIN)

FIFA 21 Curtis Jones Future Stars SBC Cheapest Solution

FIFA 21 Curtis Jones Future Stars SBC Cheapest Solution

We would go for CM Curtis Jones. (Source: EA Sports)
Accompanying FUT Future Stars Team 2 is the Curtis Jones SBC. We will help you with solving the Liverpool midfielder’s SBC and which version of his FIFA 21 card you should choose upon completion.

Curtis Jones is among the highlights of an injury-plagued Liverpool season and is deserving of his strong Future Stars card. The Englishman does not come cheap, however, so you better make your calculations before engaging with this SBC.

The FIFA 21 Curtis Jones Future Stars SBC Card

If the 400,000 coins aren’t an obstacle big enough to turn you away from Curtis Jones, then we would definitely recommend going for the CM version over the LM one.
Curtis Jones benefits most from the Basic chemistry style. (Source: FUTBIN)
He comfortably joins the Ruud Gullit club with 80+ stats in every category. Because he has no outstanding or lackluster section in his game, we would go for the Basic chemistry style, which would just turn Jones into a box-to-box jewel. A jewel with 92 OVR.

The Cheapest Solution

You need to turn in three teams for the luxury of acquiring Future Stars Curtis Jones:
  • Team with min. one Liverpool player, min. 83 OVR, min. 80 chemistry
  • Team with min. one English player, min. 85 OVR, min. 70 chemistry
  • Team with min. one Premier League player, min. 86 OVR, min. 65 chemistry

Team 1: Liverpool

Team 1 costs just under 30,000 coins, but don’t get too comfortable with that. We combine the Premier League with the Bundesliga and the Primeira Liga. Xherdan Shaqiri is the required Liverpool player.
First team is easy to gather, but it gets tricky afterwards. (Source: FUTBIN)

Team 2: England

About 150,000 coins are allotted to this team, which is mostly from the French Ligue 1. The cheapest Headliners card – Karl Toko-Ekambi makes a surprise appearance and so does our English player, who isn’t from the Premier League. That’s Atlético Madrid’s Kieran Trippier.
We dive into La Liga to find our Englishman for team 2. (Source: FUTBIN)

Team 3: Premier League

This is where things get really expensive. Around 215,000 coins are wasted on this team, most of which is based in the Premier League. Only Thibaut Courtois, Jan Vertonghen, and Dušan Tadić play in other leagues.
We can't do without the Premier League for team 3. (Source: FUTBIN)
If you do complete this SBC you will end up with a great card regardless of which position you pick. You have plenty of time left still to do so. The SBC does not expire until February 26.

FIFA 21 FUT Season 4 Rewards & Players

FIFA 21 FUT Season 4 Rewards & Players

FIFA 21 FUT Season 4 rewards are much better than Season 3. (Credit: EA Sports)
This was a huge weekend for FIFA 21 Ultimate Team. The second Future Stars team launched and so did a new FUT season. We present to you the FIFA 21 FUT Season 4 rewards.

The FUT Future Stars clog the spotlight in FUT, but Season 4 also started and has good enough rewards to merit its own slew of attention.

FIFA 21 FUT Season 4 Rewards

As usual, leveling up during the season will bring along all types of items such as crests, emblems, match balls, some packs and of course – player card picks. It is the cards that we’re interested in the most.

There are two levels that matter: level 15 and level 30. That is where players are awarded. To get to that point, you’ll have to deal with the weekly bronze, silver and gold objectives. Let’s move to the rewards themselves.
Marcos Senesi is the most intriguing part of the level 15 rewards. (Credit: EA Sports)

FUT Season 4: The Level 15 Rewards

The Season 3 level 15 cards were rated at 83. As the year progresses, so do the rewards. This time we’re at 85:
  • CF: Luca Waldschmidt (Benfica) – 85 OVR
  • CB: Marcos Senesi (Feyenoord) – 85 OVR
  • CM: Moussa Dembélé (Guangzhou R&F) – 85 OVR
27,600 XP are needed to reach level 15 and unlock one of the three players. Most interesting might be center back Senesi. Especially for those who completed the Sean Klaiber SBC  at the time he was available.
The level 30 rewards are all great value cards. (Credit: EA Sports)

FUT Season 4: The Level 30 Rewards

Things get really interesting at level 30, for which you have to accumulate 100,000 XP. Not easy if you can’t play every day but the cards are worth it.
  • LM: Ryan Sessegnon (Hoffenheim) – 87 OVR
  • RW: Adnan Januzaj (Real Sociedad) – 88 OVR
  • RB: Mattia De Sciglio (Olympique Lyon) – 88 OVR
All three look very strong on paper and with the right chemistry style, can reach values beyond the 90 OVR mark. Ryan Sessegnon can actually reach the highest OVR of the three with the Marksman chemistry style and become a fantastic striker.
