The defensive back four consists of four players who, despite their defensive priority, can always provide danger on the offensive. They are Caio Henrique (AS Monaco), Marquinhos (PSG), Duje Calte-Car (Olympique Marseille) and Jonathan Clauss (RC Lens). Clauss in particular has been convincing this season, earning a nomination to the French national team for the first time.
The midfield is manned by three textbook box-to-box players. Aurelien Tchouameni (AS Monaco), Seko Fofana (RC Lens) and Lucas Paqueta (Olympique Lyon) have one thing in common and that is that they control the game from the center. Tchouameni and Fofana are known for their defensive skills, while Paqueta is more of an offensive player.
It's hard to imagine Paris Saint-Germain's offensive trio of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi not receiving a TOTS card in a voting. Mbappe can claim 55 goal contributions in 42 games this season, while Neymar has 18 contributions in 25 games and Messi has 22 goal contributions in 30 games.
Thus, it is obviously difficult for Wissam Ben Yedder (AS Monaco), Amine Gouiri (OGC Nice) and Benjamin Bourigeaud (Stade Rennes) to get a place in the starting eleven of our prediction, as the competition is simply too strong. The same goes for Dimitri Payet (Olympique Marseille), who despite a very strong season has to line up behind Tchouameni, Fofana and Paqueta in midfield.
