Icons are one of the most popular cards in FIFA Ultimate Team. In recent years, the community has been frustrated that EA SPORTS has been holding back with icon content, but that's not the case in FIFA 22. There have already been quite a few icon upgrade packs and icon player pick SBCs. The latter was very well received by the community, which is why EA released another mid-icon player pick.

In this SBC you'll have the choice between three mid versions of icons. The most valuable players you can have are Ronaldo (94 OVR), Pele (95 OVR) and Johann Cruyff (91 OVR). The price of this SBC is just under 630k coins. There are a total of four teams to submit for this player pick and we have summarized the requirements for you.
Mid Icon Player Pick SBC Requirements
85 Squad: A team rating of at least 85 and at least 65 chemistry.
85 Squad: A TOTW player, a team rating of at least 85, and at least 60 chemistry.
87 Squad: A team rating of at least 87 and at least 50 chemistry.
87 Squad: One TOTW player, a team rating of at least 87, and at least 45 chemistry.
According to feedback from the community, the SBC seems to have a good value. However, with over 600k coins, it is certainly not cheap. Therefore, we recommend you to only complete it if you have a decent amount of SBC fodder in your club. Otherwise, you should not take the risk and use the coins to improve your team. You will know what you are spending your money on.
If you have an empty club due to all the SBCs lately and lack the necessary players for the SBC, you can craft up SBC fodder with the 81+ player pick. For the SBC, you only need to give up 5 rare gold players and 4 non-rares. In most cases, this pick will give you higher rated players that you can in turn use for the icon player pick.
