Tips for using CBD in eSports

Tips for using CBD in eSports

The first part of our series “CBD IN GAMING AND ESPORT” is about why CBD is gaining more and more attention in the gaming industry. Today we want to take a closer look at the application of the cannabinoid.
Cannabidiol - the primary non-psychoactive therapeutic ingredient in cannabis plants (Source: Leafly)

1. When competing, CBD from isolate is recommended

The Electronic Sports League works just like any other professional sports organization. It regulates competitors to ensure that no one gains an unfair advantage. A big part of that is drug testing.

In the past, there were nearly no restrictions on performance-enhancing drugs at electronic sporting events – but after it was revealed that several high-level athletes were taking drugs like Adderall during an event to improve thinking skills and reaction time, regulators stepped in and instituted a ban on all performance-enhancing drugs.

About five years ago, ESL made a statement that the organization would base its anti-doping list on substances listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

The cannabinoids found in cannabis are included on this list – with the explicit exception of CBD. This is not considered a doping agent by most authorities. This is why it is especially important to only use CBD products that are made from pure, isolated CBD.

There are many excellent CBD manufacturers that make CBD isolate oils, capsules, and edibles for people who want to add this supplement to their diet without risking a failed drug test.

CBD isolates are made from a purified version of the compound with all other cannabinoids removed. This is the only way to ensure that none of the plant’s other cannabinoids – particularly the psychoactive ingredient THC – remain in the final product.

2. The right dose takes time

One of the trickiest aspects of using CBD for beginners is finding the right dose. CBD affects everyone differently – some people need higher doses to get the benefits, others need much lower doses. It all depends on how your body reacts to it and how severe your symptoms are.

The best way to find the right dose is to start with a lower dose and gradually increase it over time. Below are our general recommendations for CBD use based on body weight. This should be used as a starting point – not as medical advice.

Many people start with the lowest dose for their weight and add 2-5 mg of CBD per dose over the course of a few days until they experience the desired effect. If you experience side effects, they simply return to the last dose they used that did not cause side effects.

Daily doses of CBD by weight and strength (in mg)

The right dosage is crucial to achieve the desired effect (source: Vitahanf).

3. Consult your doctor before using CBD

CBD is an excellent health supplement and there are many reasons why professional eSport athletes should include this supplement in their nutritional program.

However, it is advisable to consult a doctor before using CBD or any other supplement to relieve symptoms. A doctor can help determine the right dose, watch for contraindications (reasons to avoid CBD) and provide other health advice to get the most out of the supplement (including other supplements, medications or lifestyle changes).

There is a debate about whether or not eSports should be considered a real sport – but either way, players in this field need to work at the top of their game if they want to succeed. This requires endurance and training, along with a good diet, plenty of sleep, stress management – and in many cases, the use of supplements and medications (including CBD).

Final thoughts: Using CBD for eSports athletes

eSports are big – and they’re getting bigger. Competitors have the potential to make millions of dollars. That gives eSports athletes a lot of motivation to take extra measures to stay at the top of their game.

CBD could be the answer for some.

FIFA21 Ultimate Team Trading Guide Part 3

FIFA21 Ultimate Team Trading Guide Part 3

sniping trading method (Source: FUTstarz)
After we introduced to you ’’how to prepare for the release of new promos’’ last week, this time we want to show you how to make coins with the sniping trading method.
Sniping is one of the most popular trading methods in FIFA. It is very simple to do and involves less time and risk than other trading methods.

What is sniping?

• Sniping is about buying players on the transfer market at the lowest possible buy-now price. • You buy players as cheap as possible below their current market price and sell them with profit at their normal market price

How sniping works

• It´s important to buy the most popular players that people need in SBCs or want to use in their Weekend League teams.

• First you choose a player you want to snipe. Then you compare with the help of the buy-it-now filter, at which price the cheapest is offered on the transfer market.

• Set the price of the buy-it-now filter a little bit lower than the cheapest one offered on the transfer market to buy your desired player cheaper at a realistic price.

• Then set the maximum bid price to 15 million coins and go down in price after each search. This way you will update the transfer market with every search, that the newest players would always be shown to you.

• Repeat the search process until the player appears on the transfer market at your desired price.

• When a player appears, be as fast as possible and try to buy him immediately.

• If you get a player cheap, compare his market price again and sell him for as much profit as possible.

Good times to snipe players

A very good time to snipe is when many packs are opened. For example, during Weekend League rewards or lightning rounds.

Important rules!

• There is a 5% fee on players you sell. You should take this into account before buying the player. The difference between the purchase price and the selling price must be more than 5% for you to make a profit.

• So, calculate in advance how much coins you would get if you sell your player at the normal market price and try to buy him as cheap as possible, so that you still make a good profit despite the 5% fee.

FIFA21: The best young players for the career mode

FIFA21: The best young players for the career mode

Young players with high potential are a good investment for your team (Source: EA Sports)
The most popular mode in FIFA21 is of course the Ultimate Team Mode (FUT). This is entering its final phase with the current event, the Team of the Season (TOTS). When the TOTS event is over, it traditionally gets quieter in the FIFA21 online mode. In the summertime the FIFA21 Career mode, which is the most popular mode behind Ultimate Team, has its big hour.
Even the career mode in FIFA21 has its pitfalls, so you should think carefully about which players are worth emptying your bank account for and which are not. For this reason we have compiled a list with the best young players with the greatest development potential in FIFA21.

Goalkeeper

Player Age Club OVR POT Position Market value (€)
G. Donnarumma 22 AC Mailand 86 92 GK 88,5 Mio.
J. Bijlow 22 Feynoord 77 85 GK 20,5 Mio.
I. Meslier 21 Leeds United 75 86 GK 10,5 Mio.
A. Lunin 22 Real Madrid 75 86 GK 11 Mio.
L. Morales 21 Atlético Lanús 72 85 GK 4,9 Mio.
When you consider how long the Italian international goalkeeper has been around, it’s easy to forget that Gianluigi Donnarumma is still only 22 years young. Despite his young age, the AC Milan goalkeeper already has a total value of 86, but at just under 90 million, you’ll have to dig deep into your pockets if you want the Italian between your posts.
G. Donnarumma from AC Mailand (Source: EA Sports)

Defender

Player Age Club OVR POT Position Market value (€)
M. de Ligt 21 Piemonte Calcio 85 92 CB 99 Mio.
J. Koundé 22 FC Sevilla 82 88 CB 44,5 Mio.
N. Mukiele 23 RB Leipzig 81 87 RWB, CB 38,5 Mio.
A. Davies 20 FC Bayern 81 89 LB, LM 53 Mio.
D. Upamecano 22 RB Leipzig 81 90 CB 54 Mio.
That Matthijs de Ligt will become the best defender in FIFA21 is not a well-kept secret. However, if you want to have him in your defense, you should strike immediately. The Dutchman already costs you almost €100 million, and once he’s reached his full potential, he’s simply priceless to you.
M. de Ligt from Piemonte Calcio (Source: EA Sports)

Midfield

Player Age Club OVR POT Position Market value (€)
J. Sancho 21 Dortmund 86 92 RM, LM, CF 105,5 Mio.
M. Rashford 23 Manchester Utd. 85 91 RM, LM, ST 86,5 Mio.
K. Havertz 21 Chelsea FC 83 91 CAM, CM 81,5 Mio.
F. Valverde 22 Real Madrid 83 89 CM 58 Mio.
P. Foden 20 Manchester City 82 92 CAM, CM 67 Mio.
Jadon Sancho has repeatedly been linked with a return to the Premier League. However, the exceptional player will not come cheap for the English clubs. In FIFA21 it is no different. You’ll have to pay well over €100 million for the English international. Whether you can afford that or want to, you have to decide for yourself. The winger is certainly an enrichment for every team.
J. Sancho from Borussia Dortmund (Source: EA Sports)

Striker

Player Age Club OVR POT Position Market value (€)
E. Haaland 20 Dortmund 87 93 ST 122,5 Mio.
Joao Felix 21 Atlético Madrid 83 93 CF, ST 80,5 Mio.
Ferran Torres 21 Manchester City 81 89 ST, LW, RW 56,5 Mio.
M. Diaby 21 Leverkusten 81 88 LW, LM 51 Mio.
C. Pulisic 22 Chelsea FC 81 87 LW, RW, LM 41,5 Mio.
Despite his young age of just 20, Erling Haaland already has an overall rating of 87. It should be clear that such a good player will not join your team for nothing. If you still want to have the Norwegian in your team, you can go to the bank. You’ll have to shell out a hefty €122.5 million for the wonder striker. In return, you’ll get goals, goals, and more goals.
E. Haaland from Borussia Dortmund (Source: EA Sports)

FIFA21 Pro Clubs – best build ST

FIFA21 Pro Clubs – best build ST

When creating your Virtual Pro you have to pay attention to several factors (Source: EA Sports)
In the third part of our FIFA21 Pro Clubs series we showed you which formations and tactics are the most promising for your club in Pro Clubs mode. In the fourth part we explain how to build the perfect striker for the mode.
The meta in FIFA21 is much more tricky than in FIFA20. Duels in tight spaces require good ball control. For the perfect striker in FIFA21 Pro Clubs, a small agile player is recommended. With high speed and a strong finish, you can hold your own against all the defenders in the game. Since your player’s body weight and size are related to his abilities, you’ll first have to pay attention to the measurements you give your player.

Player properties

Set the height to 162 cm and the weight to 54 kg. These settings will result in your striker having good values in attack (86), reaction (88) and sprint speed (85) right from the start.
The measurements of your striker are crucial for his abilities (Source: EA Sports)
For your Virtual Pro’s position, choose “Striker” for the “Center” role. This makes your player not only fast, but also strong in finishing and ball control. The choice of the strong foot is up to you.
The last step is to assign the 15 skill points that are initially available to you by default.

Counter striker

The counterattacking striker needs all 15 points in the pace area at the beginning, so that he can run over slower center defenders. As the game progresses, the points should be invested in finishing. Make sure to level up the weak foot and your skill values as soon as possible. To be able to counterattack at the end of the game, you should also make sure not to neglect your player’s stamina value. If your Virtual Pro has no more stamina, he will be much more slow in sprinting and dribbling, and at the same time, the player may lack precision in finishing at the decisive moment.
Alternatively, if your style of play is not counter-attacking but rather possession, you can create a playing striker.
The total number of available skill points is limited (Source: EA Sports)

Playing striker

The skill points are distributed more evenly for the playing striker. Four skill points are used for the attack and the sprint speed of your virtual pro. Compared to the counterattacking striker, you also pay more attention to the dribbling values of your player. Therefore, in the dribbling category you use six points for the right tree up to the point of ball control. Five points are needed in the shooting category. You divide these into completion and shooting power. Then you should maximize your Virtual Pro’s finishing as quickly as possible so that the weak foot improves to four stars.
How you use the remaining skill points you earn during your Pro Clubs career depends on your team and your own playing style.

FIFA21: How to score from freekicks #1 – SKILL CLASS

FIFA21: How to score from freekicks #1 - SKILL CLASS

In this week’s edition of our SKILL CLASS, we’ll show you some helpful tips & tricks on how to score from freekicks. So far, we have already provided you with exclusive content about the top 3 formations in FIFA21, the most effective skill moves in the game as well as tips about all types of dribbling and how to score from penalties in FIFA21. Last week we talked about how to create chances in the offense and score more goals. In this article, we’ll show you three effective freekick variants, how to perform them and when to use them.
You can always find the latest FIFA21 FUT news on our blog. Over there, you can get all information about the Team of the Season (TOTS) event. We already gave you our predictions for all leagues of the Team of the Season and keep you up to date about new releases. Furthermore, you can find all news and leaks about FIFA22 on our website. There are already exciting announcements about FUT in FIFA22, which you can read about here.
If you like to check out our YouTube channel, that’s theideal place to find tutorial videos to further improve your gameplay.
We show you how to score more goals from freekicks (Source: EA Sports).

Top-Spin Freekick

Scenario 1: You have a free kick relatively central, 16-18m in front of goal. All you have to do is aim with the left stick exactly into the top corner above the wall, charge 1.5-2 bars shot-power and your player hammers the free kick exactly into the top corner.

Dipping Freekick

Scenario 2: the referee awards you a free kick at a distance of about 18-20m away from goal. Depending on the distance, you have to charge up 2-3 bars of shot power. With the left stick you aim as high as possible over the goal or over the goal corner where the ball should hit. With the right stick, after pressing the shoot button, you perform a movement upwards and then immediately downwards. Your player will then perform a top-spin free kick and the ball will drop into the goal.

Curved Freekick

The curved free kick is useful if you don’t want to take a free kick from a central position and want to circle the ball around the wall. To do this, first position your player as far out as possible with the right stick. With the left stick you aim as far as possible next to the wall and keep the target at the height of the top corner of the goal. Depending on the distance, we recommend you to use 2-3.5 bars of shooting power. After pressing the shot button, turn your right stick up from the bottom in a semicircle. The ball will follow the direction you set with your right stick in its flight curve.
In the meantime, however, many players in the Weekend League are moving their goalkeeper. In this case you will have to adjust your freekick. Tune in next week for more freekick tutorials on how to score when your opponent moves their goalkeeper.
In the video below our coach Schnixx shows you some of the freekick variations we just covered.

FIFA21: TOTW 33 Prediction

FIFA21: TOTW 33 Prediction

Sadio Mane, Kingsley Coman und Hakim Ziyech could get an upgrade in the upcoming Team of the Week (Source: Futbin)
Wednesday (12.05.) at 7:00 pm, EA Sports will release the 33th edition of the Team of the Week (TOTW) for FIFA21 Ultimate Team (FUT). For now, we already show you who could make it into the next Team of the Week.
Every gamer who invested precious hours in the Weekend League (WL) over the weekend is eagerly anticipating the Team of the Week. Due to the Team of the Season (TOTS), the TOTW cards are currently no longer available in the Player Picks, as they have been replaced by the TOTS cards. Nevertheless, some players also want to have the opportunity to get good TOTW cards in packs in addition to the coveted TOTS cards in their Weekend League Rewards.
We will find out Wednesday evening if EA surprises us this week with a sharp looking TOTW or if it equals last week’s rather weak Team of the Week. We will briefly introduce the three players we are looking forward to the most.
This is how Team of the Week 33 could look like (Source: Twitter @HarrisonJH_)

Sadio Mane (92)

The senegalese international scored an important goal in Liverpools 2-0 home win against Southampton. With the victory, Liverpool secured three important points in order not to lose touch to the direct Champions League places. It’s quite possible that EA Sports will reward this performance with a Team of the Week.

Hakim Ziyech (88)

FC Chelsea secured three important points to extend their lead on a direct Champoins League place. Thanks to the outstanding performance of Hakim Ziyech against their Champion League final opponent Manchester City. Ziyech scored the equalizer in an important 2-1 away win. For the Moroccan, it would be his second Team of the Week.

Kingsley Coman (87)

The Frenchman could make it into the Team of the Week 33 thanks to his terrific performance against Borussia Mönchengaldbach. In the 6-0 home win against Gladbach, Kingsley Coman showed all his class and assisted a goal in the first half of the game. With this win, Bayern Munich secured three important points to win their 9th championship in a row.

CBD in Gaming and eSports

CBD in Gaming and eSports

CBD oil is available as drops and as a spray, among other things (source: medizin aspekte)
eSports are continuing to grow and the prize money is getting bigger and bigger. Learn how professional eSports athletes are using CBD to stay ahead of the competition. With millions in prize money at stake, eSports athletes are taking new measures to keep their minds sharp and their reflexes quick. With such high intensity, game-related injuries are bound to happen.

One of the most popular supplements in recent years for eSports professionals is cannabidiol – the primary non-psychoactive therapeutic ingredient in cannabis plants. It is a supplement with a long list of benefits for symptom relief, including stress, anxiety, insomnia, and more.

In this article, we will explore why eSports athletes choose CBD, what forms they take, and how this supplement affects the brain and body of professional gamers.

The use of CBD for eSports

With the stakes often high in eSports events, participants will do everything they can to gain an advantage over the competition – both mentally and physically.

There are a few key areas that participants focus on to get their bodies ready for an event – many of which have significant overlap with the effects of CBD.

Here are 3 ways CBD can help an aspiring eSports athlete reach – and stay at – the top of their game:

1. CBD can help you sleep better

Sleep is important for brain function. While you sleep, your brain stays active. It gives specialized cells in the brain, called glial cells, a chance to do their job – which is to remove toxic debris and metabolic byproducts that have accumulated during the day and repair existing neuronal damage.

When you are sleep deprived, the brain can’t function optimally – leading to a higher likelihood of errors, memory problems, and difficulty concentrating – all things that should be avoided at all costs when competing in eSports. One of the most popular reasons for taking CBD is its effect on sleep. Here is how the effect works:

CBD can support our natural sleep-wake cycle by acting on the endocannabinoid system (ECS) – which is an important regulator in the sleep-wake cycle. People who frequently play video games often experience misregulated sleep-wake cycles due to irregular sleep patterns and long periods in front of computer screens late at night.

To achieve the full extent of this benefit, one will likely need to take CBD for several weeks. It is also important to establish a regular sleep schedule.

2. Protects the brain from stress-induced degeneration

The body is well equipped to handle short-term stress. When the stress response is activated, the adrenal glands release cortisol, the main stress hormone. There is an increase in thinking, heart rate and blood pressure. As a result, non-essential processes in the body slow down to provide energy for the areas you need it most – the muscles and brain.

In the short term, stress can actually be helpful for eSports activities. It gives us a heightened level of alertness and razor-sharp reflexes. But if that stress lasts too long, it starts to have the opposite effect – it can lead to inflammation in the brain and a gradual loss of neural function. This, of course, is bad for business when you depend on staying focused to win games.

eSports athletes, as well as other professional athletes and students, supplement CBD to mitigate the negative effects of stress on the brain and body – without compromising the short-term benefits of stress during competition.

Another way to deal with gaming stress successfully is with our mental coaching from our FIFA Pro Coaches. Check out all our coachings HERE!
Athletes are often under a lot of stress, especially during major tournaments (Source: FIFA)

3. Reduce muscle & joint pain

Even though eSports players mostly operate from a chair and there is hardly any physical contact in this sport, athletes are prone to muscle and joint pain, just like in any other sport. Video gamer injuries are different from those of other sports – they primarily affect the tendons and ligaments of the wrist and elbow.

Common muscle and joint injuries caused by eSports:

Carpal tunnel syndrome (compression of the median nerve) – The carpal tunnel is a tube in the wrist through which nerves travel to the hand. Frequent bending of the wrists while playing can cause the carpal tunnel to close and pinch the nerves within it, causing pain in the hand.

Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis) – A new term for this condition is “mouse elbow” as a result of using a computer mouse for long periods of time. Mouse elbow is caused by tiny tears at the base of the tendons in the elbow that control the bending motion in the wrist (like clicking a mouse).

Lower back pain – Muscles and discs in the spine can be damaged by poor posture and prolonged sitting.

Researchers in recent years have studied CBD’s effects on muscle and joint pain, inflammation-related pain, nerve pain, and even pain that is resistant to other forms of treatment. CBD is popular among eSports athletes for relieving pain and inflammation that comes from professional gaming – and for speeding up healing.

For best results, always talk to a doctor about your injury before taking CBD or other supplements to treat symptoms.

Final Thoughts: Using CBD for eSports

The possibilities for success give eSports players a lot of motivation to take extra measures to stay at the top of their game.

CBD could be the answer for some.

CBD offers support on a holistic level – it supports sleep cycles, relieves pain, and protects the brain from the negative side effects of long-term stress.
