FIFA 21 Headliners: All players & cards from Team 1

FIFA 21 Ultimate Team launches first Headliners team (Source: EA Sports)
The year 2021 starts with a new promo event in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team. But unlike expected EA Sports does not give us the Team of the Year (TOTY), but prefers the Headliners. We tell you everything you have to know about the FIFA 21 Headliners and which players are in the first team.

FIFA 21 Headliners: The contents of the promo

Already in FIFA 20 the Headliners were one of the hottest promo events. If you take a look at the content, it quickly becomes clear why this is the case. Similar to the Ones to Watch or Road to the Final players, the FUT 21 Headliners are dynamic cards that rise based on events in real sports.

Players who have performed particularly well in the current season and have already secured TOTW cards will receive particularly strong FUT Headliners cards as part of the promotion.

These are always one point above the best Inform variant. Each time the player receives a performance-based special card, the Headliners card also rises in rating. In addition, Headliners increase once in total value if the respective team wins four league games in a row (Champions League, Europa League or Cup games are excluded here) – which means that the card is then always two points ahead.

For example, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has a total value of 91 with the Headliners card. If Manchester United win four consecutive Premier League games, the value increases to 92. If he makes it into one of the Teams of the Week, the total value increases further to 93, 94 and so on.

FUT Headliners Team 1 released

The FUT 21 Headliners event spans a total of two weeks. While Team 1 is already available, a second team will follow on 08 January, which will then also be available in card packs for a week. The following players are in FUT Headliners Team 1:
  • ZOM: Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) – 91 OVR
  • IV: Fabinho (Liverpool FC) – 88 OVR
  • ST: Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) – 87 OVR –
  • ST: Wissam Ben Yedder (AS Monaco) – 87 OVR
  • LF: Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad) – 87 OVR
  • MS: João Félix (Atletico Madrid) – 86 OVR
  • TW: Lukáš Hrádecky (Bayer Leverkusen) – 86 OVR
  • MS: Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Roma FC) – 86 OVR
  • LM: Jonathan Bamba (LOSC Lille) – 86 OVR
  • IV: Martin Hinteregger (Eintracht Frankfurt) 85 OVR
  • LV: Jordan Amavi (Olympique Marseille) – 84 OVR
  • ZOM: Matheus Cunha (Hertha BSC Berlin) – 84 OVR (playable via Objectives)

Headliners Team 2 should then feature players such as Theo Hernandez (AC Milan), Marcos Llorente (Atletico Madrid) or Thomas Müller (FC Bayern Munich). Top stars such as Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, on the other hand, are likely to go away empty-handed with regard to the Team of the Year.

The TOTY event will most likely start on January 15 and will bring some cards with a total value of 99.
