On 6 October EA SPORTS presented the candidates for the Bundesliga POTM in September. In the end, the young talent from Leverkusen was able to prevail over big names like Haaland, Kimmich and Sane. In addition, Günther from Freiburg and Nkunku from Leipzig were also up for selection. With an overall rating of 86, Wirtz is likely to be one of the more popular midfielders from the Bundesliga.
