Many in the community were surprised when EA SPORTS suddenly unveiled the Team of the Season (TOTS) of La Liga in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team on Thursday, May 19. There was a lot of speculation in the community whether EA released the team early to crack down on leakers, however, it seems the whole thing was planned on EA's part as a one-hour live event was held for the release.
At this point, the cards are not available in FIFA Ultimate Team, as the La Liga TOTS is not scheduled to be officially released until May 20 at 7pm CET. Accordingly, it is very difficult to estimate the price of the new special items. Therefore, we will focus on the players' stats and upgrades below. The first one is Karim Benzema.

The top French striker of Real Madrid has proven this season that for years he could not flourish in the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo. The favorite for the Ballon d'Or 2022, in combination with Vinicius Jr, was responsible for a large part of the "royal" goals. Accordingly, both players have rightly received a TOTS card. Karim Benzema receives the highest rating here with 98.
However, his card should be comparatively cheap, insofar he does not receive an upgrade at the skill stars or the weak foot. One player who might be hovering under the radar among all the superior TOTS cards is Marcos Acuna. The Sevilla left-back has very good stats and is perfect for the left side in the popular three-man or five-man lines in FIFA 22.
Of course, all other cards of the La Liga TOTS are also well rated and have very good stats, but their price will behave accordingly. La Liga has generated an enormous hype this season and should probably provide the best TOTS in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team (FUT). It remains to be seen what the prices of the players will be, because they determine how good the cards are.
