TRY FOR FREEWith R2/RT you can select the appropriate shooter before the execution. For long distances you need a player with high shooting power, for short distances good values in the categories shooting accuracy and spin are important. The right stick is used to determine the run-up position of the shooter. In general, you can choose between left, right and central.
Use the left analog stick to move the cursor and aim. The more you charge the shot display, the less accurate the shot becomes. This is noticeable by the white area around the cursor, which gets bigger and bigger as the shot charges up. With the so-called Timed Finishing you can increase the precision of the shot. To do this, press the circle/B key again at the moment of the shot.

What are the different ways to shoot free kicks?
To make it less difficult for the opponent's goalkeeper to parry your shot, we recommend that you add some spin to your shot. For this we would like to show you three different types: The Top Spin, the Side Spin and the Knuckle Ball. You can use the right stick to give the ball the spin you want. You will see that with a little practice you will quickly get better.
Top Spin: This variation is good for getting over the opponent's wall. During the run-up, you move the right stick down and up in a straight line. This causes the ball to quickly lose height and fall into the goal. It's best to aim the cursor slightly above the goal. Use the standard run-up or change the run-up position to a straight run-up.
Side Spin: In this variant, you move the right analog stick downwards and then move it upwards again in a semicircle to the right (right-footed) or left (left-footed). With the side spin, you can send the ball past the opponent's wall. The best way to do this is to change your run-up position so that your shooter is as perpendicular to the goal as possible; this gives the ball even more spin.
Knuckle Ball: This variant requires speed. The faster you move the stick, the more spin the ball gets. To do this, move the right analog stick down, up, and then down again when shooting. You can leave it at the standard approach or switch to the straight approach. The knuckle ball variant can be performed from any distance.
