A handful of versatility

Since Fortnite has existed, Epic Games has already brought a variety of grenades to the Battle Royale. The selection is very versatile. You can deal damage with most grenades or use tactical finesses that save you from a heated situation. However, not all grenades are available at the same time. Epic Games rotates them again and again for more variety.

All grenades at a glance:

  • Boogie Bomb: makes all players in the area of effect dance so that they can neither build nor use weapons or items.

  • Dynamite: causes 70 damage to players and 800 damage to buildings. The throwing range is rather short. The dynamite explodes after 5 seconds, even if it is held in the hand.

  • Grenade: the normal grenade in Fortnite deals 100 damage to players and 375 damage to buildings.

  • Clinger: sticks to both players (100 damage) and buildings (200) and then explodes after 2.5 seconds.

  • Air Strike: marks the spot being hit and calls for an air strike. This fires 20 missiles into the marked area. Each missile causes 75 player damage and 200 building damage.

  • Shadow Bomb: makes you invisible for 6 seconds. Movement speed is increased and double jumps and wall jumps are possible. However, you cannot build, attack or loot during this time.

  • Shockwave Grenade: a shockwave flings players away and causes damage to objects they fly against. However, players do not suffer any falling damage.

  • Stink Bomb: causes a stinky cloud to appear, which lasts for 9 seconds. Players in this cloud receive 10 damage per second.

  • Storm Flip: creates a spherical zone that protects you from the storm. After 20 seconds, the zone dissipates.

  • Port-a-Fortress: creates a large fortress that is equipped with bouncing surfaces.

  • Chiller Grenade: flings players back and makes them slide across the ground.
